A Seat At The Table

A Seat At The Table was born from a desire to serve and come along side families raising children with disabilities.

Our mission is to empower and support parents of children with disabilities through advocacy training and resource navigation to help families access and learn more about supportive systems and state and government benefits.

In addition to direct family support, we desire to also come along side churches as they learn what it looks like to be the hands and feet of Jesus for families affected by disability.

A little bit more about me is that I have worked with kids since I was a teenager and have always had a heart for children with disabilities. I worked for many years as a behavioral therapist and most recently have also worked in children’s ministry. In 2023, my husband, Giuseppe, and I adopted our daughter and soon after we began receiving diagnoses including cerebral palsy.

Before I had a personal connection to disability, my understanding was based on what I had read or studied in school. I knew disability, also, through my work. However, that all changed when disability became a part of my family.
